Half-Day Seminar on 'Are Students Losing Interest in College Governance?'

Research Foundation for Governance in India (RFGI) along with Liberal Youth Forum (LYF) is organizing a half-day seminar on ‘Are Students Losing Interest in College Governance?’ on Friday, 22nd July 2011, at the Ahmedabad Management Association (AMA) from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
The objective of the seminar is to develop leadership and communication skills of the youth studying in the prominent educational institutions in the city of Ahmedabad. The seminar aims to focus on issues concerning academic as well as non academic lives of students on the campuses today. It will try to instill the idea of democracy, concepts such as transparency, responsibility and accountability among the students studying in colleges, who will be taking up prominent leadership roles in the society in future. During these seminars, we encourage students to identify their present issues or concerns and how they could effectively resolve them through open discussions, dialogues and campaigns. In due process, students with outstanding leadership abilities will be identified, encouraged, trained and supported in their careers.
This seminar will be consisting of training and interactive sessions designed by internationally acclaimed experts. For the first time, it is being made available on complementary basis for the selected participants. Participating certificates and lunch will be provided to student participants.
