Invitation for Public Debate: 'Is Team Anna the true representative of people of India?'

Dear All,

This is to inform you that Research Foundation for Governance in India (RFGI) is hosting a Public Debate on 'Is Team Anna the true representative of people of India?' from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM, Thursday August 25, 2011 at Ahmedabad Management Association (AMA).  

Anna Hazare and the Lokpal Bill have taken the country by storm. Thousands are on streets chanting anti-corruption slogans.

Is this protest taking the shape of becoming a turning point for Indian democracy or is it directionless and driven by selfish interests? Are those at the helm of this movement channeling people's outcry towards something meaningful? What will all this mean for India? 

How can we create a more comprehensive movement fundamentally shaking our institutions? What are the current three drafts about?
