Image previews extending beyond the browser border

Hello all,
Has anyone else noticed in versions 5.0+ the image preview sometimes extends beyond the browser border? It works fine at the top of the page but if you scroll down a little it won't recognize the border. Im using version 5.2.4478 and it seems to happen in both firefox and chrome. Any help would be appreciated!

This has been happening on safari as well.

That seems to work but when I removed the collections bar it started to act wacky like displaying the preview off screen.

in testing 4517 i noticed that the issue is present on the right side.

4518 does keep the infobox fully in view, but I've lost the ability to see a preview image.

The right side infobox seems to be extending past the browser window again...r4595
