I'm trying to find a way to restrict a resource type (i.e. 'Brand
assets' in this case), to a new user group ('standard user'). I can
see Dan's notice here saying he's done something along those lines,
but looking for the right configuration options.
Can anyone point in in the right direction?
Cheers
Robbie
I think this works the opposite way -- IE, if you want only the
"standard user" group to be able to access the reesource type, you
need to restrict it from all other groups.
The relevant permissions are
T? DENY access to resources with the given resource type ID, also
hide this resource type when editing/searching
X? RESTRICT access to resources with the given resource type ID.
X?_$ RESTRICT access to resources with the given resource type ID AND
the given download size ID, for example X1_scr restricts access to the
screen size download for photo resources.
So assuming the Brand Assets type is ID 8, you would put T8 in the
permissions for all other groups to hide these resources from these
groups. (Or X8 to restrict, or X8_lpr to restrict only the low
resolution print size.)
I hope this helps...

That's worked a treat!
I've been looking here: http://wiki.resourcespace.org/index.php/User_Group_Management
which looks a little out of date.
