Plugin Manager - IIS 7.5 - permissions for plugins folder

Long time no see!

 

Couple of pointers re plugins would be really appreciated.

 

Firstly I see the self check tool doesn't check the plugins folder for write access - or have I missed something? 

 

More importantly I can't get plugins to upload through the plugin manager.  ResourceSpace confirms installation but the plugin isn't listed in Team Centre and no folder has appeared in root\plugins.  This plugins folder has write permissions for IIS_IUSERS & the app pool the site is running under - double checked twice!  I even ran these permissions down through the whole site to check, but still no joy.

 

Ended up unzipping using 7-zip and manually placing the plugin folder beneath root\plugins - that worked!

 

Any thoughts where I'm going wrong?
