Now I'm wondering if anyone's got a while to help me setup crap? :)
I can buy lunch/beer/ w/eth?
Have all boards for gen 3 and finally got motors,
Just LF someone with an AVR programmer/bootloader thing
and the oh-so-magical ability to tweak the code a little,
I'm available anytime and I'd totally love to make parts for anyone
that could help? :)
(Or share future toolchanger designs/parts)
Regards and Happy holidays!

(Also I have a laptop now... so that's less of a hassle)
I would be easiest if we could arrange to meet someplace like i3Detroit.
Where I can bring all my stuff to get you set up. I can come to your
place but it isn't easy right now.

What, exactly, are you looking for?

(Though I know a little processing, so could prolly figure that out on

I just figured the fully assembled version would have the damn
firmware on it :)

We should meet soon and make plans for Confusion, which is less than

I have an AVR programmer at i3. Don't know that I can help with
configuration, though.
Working this Tuesday, Not sure how formal i3 is...
it's not open at like all times right?
(I.e. have to drop by during meeting hours?)
i3 is always open, although guests must have a member to host them. I
hosted the last meeting at i3, along with Nate, another i3 member.
I'll be available mon-thurs evenings this week after 6:00, and most of
this weekend also. If you want to meet some time, just let me know.
Also, you can look at the twitter feed on the right sidebar of
http://i3detroit.com/. We have a "I'm in the space and willing to host
guests" switch which when flipped, posts there. However, there's no
guarantee that whoever flipped the switch will be staying for a long
time, or that someone didn't forget to flip it on the way out, so it
doesn't hurt to have arrangements beforehand.
There is also a google group called i3detroit-public where you can ask
if anyone can be around at some time. I'm sure there are many members
interested in reprap besides those that were around at the last reprap
meeting.

I'll PM next time,
what is "Confusion" btw?
Otherwise, now I've got more troubles that could easily be remedied by
swapping out parts to find what's wrong...
Mobo is USB powered right? mine isn't :p
likewise I can't talk to it,
(Anyone have a TTL serial-USB cable, or mobo I can test with?)

A local Science Fiction Convention, put on by the Stilyagi Air Corps, a local SF club.
... http://confusion.stilyagi.org/
ICYDK, SF "Cons" are often named as a play-on-words, with the word "con"
buried SOMEWHERE in them. <g> ConFusion is the well known decades-old
annual Michigan SF "Con". With Fusion in its name, it sounds REALLY "science-y",
so they often feature a Technical Track in their list of activities ("Events").
In addition to lots of partying, a dress-up Ball (dance), Huckster Room
(swap/sales area) and sponsoring GoHs (Guests of Honor from among
famous artists, SF writers, actors, et al), they have a lot of Programming
Events, like Discussion Panels, DIY activity rooms for kids, and here, even
a Technical Track for hard science things.
Tim has a scheduled time slot in the Technical Track, to show RR there.
(930-1050 AM Sunday 1/24/10, Salon E, Detroit Marriott, Troy MI)
See the ConFusion thread, or "Programming" at this link, for more details:
