You want to check what the drivers do, and how they "show up" to applications in Windows (or other OS you may use.) Not all COM port emulations are equal, sadly. A common failing, is lack of buffer cleaning when the port is first opened, also lack of, or bad behaviour of any handshake line emulation.... more »

Hi everybody in the group,
Has anybody used the USB to TTL converters based on the CP2102 chip,
instead of the FTDI cables? They are very common in the ebay, and much
cheaper than the FTDI cables.

Issue with the Web Receciver

I downloaded the web receiver software and the update as instructed on the website. When I ran it for the first time it didn’t come up with config file info as the website said it would. When I run it it doesn’t seem to work properly. I got a password from KA1CDE. When I hit the login button it stays red for a few seconds then stops.... more »

I use a good spam filter, and you probably do the same. I have whitelisted you and that means that I will receive all the emails you send to me. I would appreciate it if you would whitelist my email address: k7...@comcast.net in your spam filter. If you don't have a spam filter, I can recommend SPAMfighter. It is a highly effective free spam filter for Outlook, Outlook Express, Windows Mail and Mozilla Thunderbird.... more »

Using the W4MQ software with Windows 7 64 bit?

I now have a Mac. I know that I'm not able to run the W4MQ software
with a Mac but I am planing to buy VMWare Fusion and then the 64 bit
Version of the new Windows 7 Professional operating system. Will the
W4MQ software work with this arrangement?
