It depends on what radio you use at the remote station. Almost any radio has
FSK setting that will put out constant carrier when keyed but you really
should reduce the power during the tune cycle. My TS-480 is able to be
programmed to go to CW and 10 watts for antenna tuning with a single button
push (or mouse click when in remote) and it returns to its previous setting
when the tune mode if left.
The lower power setting during tuning is much easier on the relays in the
LDG tuner.

is an LDG auto tuner connected between the rig and the antenna that is
triggered by RF and an SWR above 1:1.5.
I know in the voice portion of the band you can switch to AM and send
a carrier. In short, how do you do this in the CW portion of the band?
