I am working on an Android app, so I am hoping that I can use a custom
scheme to direct users back to my app after they grant permissions.
For example, I would like to have my callback URL as barryku.rtm://
callback. My application can then process the call back barryku.rtm://
callback?frob=....... after user's authorization.

It took over a week to have my current callback URL set after
requesting. Therefore, I don't want to change it now and find out
later that I have to wait for another week to revert it back if it's
not working.

Hey Barry,

I believe it is possible to set a custom scheme on your callback url.

I have seen instances in the past where people have left off the scheme on their callback URLs so I do not think they are validating or requiring http/s schemes.

I would give it a try and see what happens.

For what it is worth, I have seen turn around times of a day or two for my API requests though I have a pro account which has priority support so it may be worth the $25/year upgrade for the priority support. https://www.rememberthemilk.com/upgrade/
