Subject: Gyes should understand the value of marriage ............
As our society is male headed society, so the men of the society will
have to take the step. There are so many movies, newsletters and
revolutions have taken place in past but still the conditions have not
changed much. The change has to take place in small towns and villages.
As this being a personal decision of oneself govt. can not do anything.
Remarriage of a young aged widow can be understood but with this
parents should promote higher education to their daughters so that they
can stand on their own feet and males of the country should support
this idea of remarriage and come forward to initiate the situation.
Ladies of the community as elder head of the family will have to act
towards this because if once the lady of the house accepts a widow in
her family it will make difference. It is very easy to talk but needs
courage to implement. Hope for the best.

Nowadays women are studying upto degree. But even the women who study
upto degree are sitting in homes and depending on their husbands
without doing jobs.

Marriage is important for both men and women. Opposing remarriages of
women and supporting only remarriages of men can be called double
standard. We should not follow such double standards.

Why should women live alone without remarriage after their husbands
death when men do not live alone after death of their wifes? Men and
women must have equal rights in enjoyment of marital life.

I appreciate your views regarding the above matter. I hope other males
also would joint hands in this regard. But what about those who do not
want to go in for remarriage, they think that this is the end of their
life too. Hence it has to be accepted by the society and should be
encouraged by socity then remarriage of young widows will be easy and
possible. As such in city like Mumbai no one bothers about others
personal life but friends and family members can do wonders.
