HOMOSEXUALS & LESBIANS REJECTED BY GOD

The Bible, The Word of God, says:

Leviticus 18:22

22 " 'Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is
detestable.

Leviticus 20:13

13 " 'If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them
have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood
will be on their own heads.

Romans 1:18-32

God's Wrath Against Mankind

18The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the
godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their
wickedness,

19since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has
made it plain to them.

20For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities-his
eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen, being
understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.

21For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor
gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish
hearts were darkened.

22Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools

23and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look
like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.

24Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts
to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one
another.

25They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served
created things rather than the Creator-who is forever praised. Amen.

26Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their
women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones.

27In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women
and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent
acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for
their perversion.

28Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the
knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what
ought not to be done.

29They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed
and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and
malice. They are gossips,

30slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent
ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents;
31they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless.

32Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such
things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things
but also approve of those who practice them.

1 Corinthians 6:9-10

9Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God?
Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor
adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders

10nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor
swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

1 Timothy 1:8-11

8We know that the law is good if one uses it properly.

9We also know that law[a] is made not for the righteous but for
lawbreakers and rebels, the ungodly and sinful, the unholy and
irreligious; for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for
murderers,

10for adulterers and perverts, for slave traders and liars and
perjurers-and for whatever else is contrary to the sound doctrine
11that conforms to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which he
entrusted to me.

Genesis 19 (New International Version - UK)

Genesis 19

Sodom and Gomorrah Destroyed

1 The two angels arrived at Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting
in the gateway of the city. When he saw them, he got up to meet them
and bowed down with his face to the ground.

2 My lords, he said, please turn aside to your servant's house.
You can wash your feet and spend the night and then go on your way
early in the morning. No, they answered, we will spend the night in
the square.

3 But he insisted so strongly that they did go with him and
entered his house. He prepared a meal for them, baking bread without
yeast, and they ate.

4 Before they had gone to bed, all the men from every part of the
city of Sodom- both young and old- surrounded the house.

5 They called to Lot, Where are the men who came to you tonight?
Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them.

6 Lot went outside to meet them and shut the door behind him

7 and said, No, my friends. Don't do this wicked thing.

8 Look, I have two daughters who have never slept with a man. Let
me bring them out to you, and you can do what you like with them. But
don't do anything to these men, for they have come under the
protection of my roof.

9 Get out of our way, they replied. And they said, This fellow
came here as an alien, and now he wants to play the judge! We'll treat
you worse than them. They kept bringing pressure on Lot and moved
forward to break down the door.

10 But the men inside reached out and pulled Lot back into the
house and shut the door.

11 Then they struck the men who were at the door of the house,
young and old, with blindness so that they could not find the door.

12 The two men said to Lot, Do you have anyone else here- sons-in-
law, sons or daughters, or anyone else in the city who belongs to you?
Get them out of here,

13 because we are going to destroy this place. The outcry to the
LORD against its people is so great that he has sent us to destroy it.

14 So Lot went out and spoke to his sons-in-law, who were pledged
to marry his daughters. He said, Hurry and get out of this place,
because the LORD is about to destroy the city! But his sons-in-law
thought he was joking.

15 With the coming of dawn, the angels urged Lot, saying, Hurry!
Take your wife and your two daughters who are here, or you will be
swept away when the city is punished.

16 When he hesitated, the men grasped his hand and the hands of
his wife and of his two daughters and led them safely out of the city,
for the LORD was merciful to them.

17 As soon as they had brought them out, one of them said, Flee
for your lives! Don't look back, and don't stop anywhere in the plain!
Flee to the mountains or you will be swept away!

18 But Lot said to them, No, my lords, please!

19 Your servant has found favour in your eyes, and you have shown
great kindness to me in sparing my life. But I can't flee to the
mountains; this disaster will overtake me, and I'll die.

20 Look, here is a town near enough to run to, and it is small.
Let me flee to it- it is very small, isn't it? Then my life will be
spared.

21 He said to him, Very well, I will grant this request too; I
will not overthrow the town you speak of.

22 But flee there quickly, because I cannot do anything until you
reach it. (That is why the town was called Zoar.)

23 By the time Lot reached Zoar, the sun had risen over the land.

24 Then the LORD rained down burning sulphur on Sodom and Gomorrah
- from the LORD out of the heavens.

25 Thus he overthrew those cities and the entire plain, including
all those living in the cities- and also the vegetation in the land.

26 But Lot's wife looked back, and she became a pillar of salt.

27 Early the next morning Abraham got up and returned to the place
where he had stood before the LORD.

28 He looked down towards Sodom and Gomorrah, towards all the land
of the plain, and he saw dense smoke rising from the land, like smoke
from a furnace.

29 So when God destroyed the cities of the plain, he remembered
Abraham, and he brought Lot out of the catastrophe that overthrew the
cities where Lot had lived.

Leviticus 18; Leviticus 19 (New International Version)

New International Version (NIV)

Leviticus 18

Unlawful Sexual Relations

1 The LORD said to Moses,

2 "Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'I am the LORD your God.

3 You must not do as they do in Egypt, where you used to live, and you
must not do as they do in the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you.
Do not follow their practices.

4 You must obey my laws and be careful to follow my decrees. I am the
LORD your God. 5 Keep my decrees and laws, for the man who obeys them
will live by them. I am the LORD.

6 " 'No one is to approach any close relative to have sexual
relations. I am the LORD.

7 " 'Do not dishonor your father by having sexual relations with your
mother. She is your mother; do not have relations with her.

8 " 'Do not have sexual relations with your father's wife; that would
dishonor your father.

9 " 'Do not have sexual relations with your sister, either your
father's daughter or your mother's daughter, whether she was born in
the same home or elsewhere.

10 " 'Do not have sexual relations with your son's daughter or your
daughter's daughter; that would dishonor you.

11 " 'Do not have sexual relations with the daughter of your father's
wife, born to your father; she is your sister.

12 " 'Do not have sexual relations with your father's sister; she is
your father's close relative.

13 " 'Do not have sexual relations with your mother's sister, because
she is your mother's close relative.

14 " 'Do not dishonor your father's brother by approaching his wife
to have sexual relations; she is your aunt.

15 " 'Do not have sexual relations with your daughter-in-law. She is
your son's wife; do not have relations with her.

16 " 'Do not have sexual relations with your brother's wife; that
would dishonor your brother.

17 " 'Do not have sexual relations with both a woman and her
daughter. Do not have sexual relations with either her son's daughter
or her daughter's daughter; they are her close relatives. That is
wickedness.

18 " 'Do not take your wife's sister as a rival wife and have sexual
relations with her while your wife is living.

19 " 'Do not approach a woman to have sexual relations during the
uncleanness of her monthly period.

20 " 'Do not have sexual relations with your neighbor's wife and
defile yourself with her.

21 " 'Do not give any of your children to be sacrificed [a] to
Molech, for you must not profane the name of your God. I am the LORD.

22 " 'Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is
detestable.

23 " 'Do not have sexual relations with an animal and defile yourself
with it. A woman must not present herself to an animal to have sexual
relations with it; that is a perversion.

24 " 'Do not defile yourselves in any of these ways, because this is
how the nations that I am going to drive out before you became
defiled.

25 Even the land was defiled; so I punished it for its sin, and the
land vomited out its inhabitants.

26 But you must keep my decrees and my laws. The native-born and the
aliens living among you must not do any of these detestable things,

27 for all these things were done by the people who lived in the land
before you, and the land became defiled. 28 And if you defile the
land, it will vomit you out as it vomited out the nations that were
before you.

29 " 'Everyone who does any of these detestable things-such persons
must be cut off from their people.

30 Keep my requirements and do not follow any of the detestable
customs that were practiced before you came and do not defile
yourselves with them. I am the LORD your God.' "

Leviticus 19

Various Laws

1 The LORD said to Moses, 2 "Speak to the entire assembly of Israel
and say to them: 'Be holy because I, the LORD your God, am holy.

3 " 'Each of you must respect his mother and father, and you must
observe my Sabbaths. I am the LORD your God.

4 " 'Do not turn to idols or make gods of cast metal for yourselves.
I am the LORD your God.

5 " 'When you sacrifice a fellowship offering [a] to the LORD,
sacrifice it in such a way that it will be accepted on your behalf.

6 It shall be eaten on the day you sacrifice it or on the next day;
anything left over until the third day must be burned up.

7 If any of it is eaten on the third day, it is impure and will not be
accepted.

8 Whoever eats it will be held responsible because he has desecrated
what is holy to the LORD; that person must be cut off from his
people.

9 " 'When you reap the harvest of your land, do not reap to the very
edges of your field or gather the gleanings of your harvest.

10 Do not go over your vineyard a second time or pick up the grapes
that have fallen. Leave them for the poor and the alien. I am the LORD
your God.

11 " 'Do not steal.
" 'Do not lie.
" 'Do not deceive one another.

12 " 'Do not swear falsely by my name and so profane the name of your
God. I am the LORD.

13 " 'Do not defraud your neighbor or rob him.
" 'Do not hold back the wages of a hired man overnight.

14 " 'Do not curse the deaf or put a stumbling block in front of the
blind, but fear your God. I am the LORD.

15 " 'Do not pervert justice; do not show partiality to the poor or
favoritism to the great, but judge your neighbor fairly.

16 " 'Do not go about spreading slander among your people.
" 'Do not do anything that endangers your neighbor's life. I am
the LORD.

17 " 'Do not hate your brother in your heart. Rebuke your neighbor
frankly so you will not share in his guilt.

18 " 'Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against one of your
people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD.

19 " 'Keep my decrees.
" 'Do not mate different kinds of animals.
" 'Do not plant your field with two kinds of seed.
" 'Do not wear clothing woven of two kinds of material.

20 " 'If a man sleeps with a woman who is a slave girl promised to
another man but who has not been ransomed or given her freedom, there
must be due punishment. Yet they are not to be put to death, because
she had not been freed.

21 The man, however, must bring a ram to the entrance to the Tent of
Meeting for a guilt offering to the LORD.

22 With the ram of the guilt offering the priest is to make atonement
for him before the LORD for the sin he has committed, and his sin will
be forgiven.

23 " 'When you enter the land and plant any kind of fruit tree,
regard its fruit as forbidden. [b] For three years you are to consider
it forbidden [c] ; it must not be eaten.

24 In the fourth year all its fruit will be holy, an offering of
praise to the LORD.

25 But in the fifth year you may eat its fruit. In this way your
harvest will be increased. I am the LORD your God.

26 " 'Do not eat any meat with the blood still in it.
" 'Do not practice divination or sorcery.

27 " 'Do not cut the hair at the sides of your head or clip off the
edges of your beard.

28 " 'Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on
yourselves. I am the LORD.

29 " 'Do not degrade your daughter by making her a prostitute, or the
land will turn to prostitution and be filled with wickedness.

30 " 'Observe my Sabbaths and have reverence for my sanctuary. I am
the LORD.

31 " 'Do not turn to mediums or seek out spiritists, for you will be
defiled by them. I am the LORD your God.

32 " 'Rise in the presence of the aged, show respect for the elderly
and revere your God. I am the LORD.

33 " 'When an alien lives with you in your land, do not mistreat
him.

34 The alien living with you must be treated as one of your native-
born. Love him as yourself, for you were aliens in Egypt. I am the
LORD your God.

35 " 'Do not use dishonest standards when measuring length, weight or
quantity.

36 Use honest scales and honest weights, an honest ephah [d] and an
honest hin. [e] I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt.

37 " 'Keep all my decrees and all my laws and follow them. I am the
LORD.' "
