I kept getting the blue Scandisk startup message kept coming up on one of my
three near-full 120 GB hard drives, and I wanted to fix it.
(only had 40GB altogether left)
I should have just set the computer to bypass the startup scandisk message
thing, I know how to do that easily.
But I forgot momentarily, and stupid me ran stupid Scandisk. In its processing,
Scandisk chopped a pretty big branch of files at the root, taking out over
60 GB - mostly MP3s made from my own discs, but it also took out my
"Underground" collection of files that I've been collecting since 1996 when I
recieved my kn0wl3dg3phr3ak CD #13 from oleBuzzard, shortly before he went
offline. His last release is #15, which I am putting a $40 warrant on it.
I still have that disc, although it's burned in the ISO9660 format, not Mac HFS,
and scratched up. I also have:
Game Cracker by Dark Bay
Hacker's Toolkit 2.0
Hacker's Toolkit 3.0 (named as H/P/A/V/C Library)
Methodus' AOL Progz CD
Weazel's Mac H/P/C/A/V archive/ minus the Serials/ K's
The Whacked Mac Archives CD 1.0
Untested mystery multisession disc from 1998
My personal "Pure Evil" project based on an expansion of kn0wl3dgephr3ak
Hacker & Banned CD bought from eBayer in May 2003
Astalavista Security Toolbox and Source Code 2002 CDs
and for the DVDHacking project of mine:
Yamakawa 41-3HF flasher CD for RAITE 715 DVD players.
With what I already have, why the hell am I asking you guys?
I had all of the URLs of source files in there, they have been run through, and
can't be accessed except the ones I have committed to memory like MacDumpsters.
So can you help a fellow oldskool hacker get as much as he can back?
I am looking for one special trojan that used to be on eDonkey, it installed
gay porn-popping startup application, it was flagged as a "no-upload version of
eDonkey." It is vital that I get that back, because that is the most creative
piece of programming I have ever seen. EVER. I tried seeding it back out, but
nobody took it. So I'd like to see it again.
Please? TIA.
