What you’ll be doing:

•   Implementing new features for the FanDuel mobile and desktop sites using HTML5, CSS and JavaScript

•   Working with product managers, server-side developers, QA engineers, designers, dev ops and others to ensure features are delivered to a high standard

•   Test features for interoperability across different browsers and mobile devices

•   Fix bugs, identify and reduce client-side performance issues

•   Contribute to development team working practices and technology decisions

 

The skills we are looking for:

•   Strong experience of developing rich web applications using HTML5, CSS, JavaScript.

•   Expert-level JavaScript, including experience with jQuery and client-side MVC libraries

•   Strong track record of developing standards-savvy websites and web applications using up-to-date best practices

•   A good awareness and experience of HTML5 technologies and APIs

•   Use of and integration with PHP, Python or other server-side technologies to develop large applications in a cross-disciplinary team

•   Knowledge of client-side performance concerns and optimisation techniques.

•   Thorough understanding of cross-browser and cross-device feature support.

•   Enthusiasm for the mobile web

•   Experience with source control management (we use Git).

•   Basic experience of Unix command line

•   Highly proficient and productive with a strong desire to build high quality, robust applications that users love.

 

Desirable skills we would be happy to see:

•   Experience working in an agile development team and experience of common agile practices

•   JavaScript test-driven development and unit testing

•   iOS / Android hybrid application development using PhoneGap or Titanium

•   Experience of SASS or LESS CSS pre-processors.

•   An understanding of UX and user interface design approaches, patterns and techniques
