I need to research building an a simple cart with credit card processing and I was hoping to get a list of recommended resources (books and websites) from the group. The technologies I anticipate using are php/mysql and ajax. Haven't decided on a transaction processor yet (paypal, etc.) but I am looking into some of the previous suggestions the group has provided.

Not sure if a service would work for you, but I thought I'd mention that I just built a site on Shopify after going through the available roll-your-own options and deciding that none gave me what I wanted.

I looked into shopify, I haven't used it yet but I would recommend it.
