Closure Library, Go Language and JSConf.EU

Google this past week has released a couple of JavaScript related gems
(or lumps of coal depending on how you look at it): Closure and Go.
We will have an open discussion on Closure, what it is and the
JavaScript community's opinions on it so far and we'll also touch on
Go. Go, although not a JavaScript library or even pure JavaScript, is
a language that is expressive enough that some have posited it to
"replace JavaScript". Will have a go with Go. ;-)

Also, Kyle Simpson has returned from his speaking engagement in Berlin
at JSConf EU. He will be speaking on "Loading JavaScript: Even a
caveman can do it." Covered topics will include the new 1.0 release of
LABjs, Mincir (soon to be released project) for minification post-
optimization, and other techniques for improving how you load
JavaScript assets into your page/application. He will also review a
few other JS bits picked up at JSConf.EU.

When: Tuesday November 17th, 2009 **7:30-9:30 PM.**
Where: Virtue Group's Office (http://www.virtuegroup.net/) -- 1206 W
43rd Street Austin TX 78756 (** THIS IS AN ACTUAL BUSINESS, NOT A
HOME, LOOK FOR SIGN ON DOOR **)

Here's a map: http://bit.ly/cMtza

Parking is on the street, or you can take the #3 bus or #338 bus, both
of which have stops close by.

Afterwards, the discussion carries on one block away at The Draught
House, where it just happens to be pint night so you can get your beer
fix here.
