Simpler Twitter "compiler" than Twirl

I use Twirl but I am setting something up for my brother and I need a program that is more user friendly and useful for him that is PC friendly as well as Mac. I am looking for suggestions and hopefully someone ho has moved between twirl and another program. I don't want to lose my current followers/ past tweets, etc. It seems every time I move around, something gets lost.

Hi Jan,

I'm a huge fan of HootSuite, which is web-based, which means there's no client software or Adobe Air to constantly update. There are paid Pro and Enterprise accounts as well as a free account that lets you link up to 5 social accounts and a few RSS/Atom feeds. 

All of your friend/follower data is imported directly from your linked Twitter/Facebook/LinkedIn/Flickr/Tumblr/YouTube/etc accounts, so there's no worries of any missing data. If it exists in those accounts, it's there in HootSuite. They have a great mobile client as well as a "Hootlet" browser plugin that allows you to share any web page with a shortened ow.ly URL to multiple accounts & services with the click of a button.
