So this might be of some use to some of you who build e-commerce sites, or for your customers.
This is a blatant service push here, but it's legit and might be of some interest to some of you who do payment processing.
If you don't use credit cards/ACH for online business, or POS, or know someone who does, ignore the rest.....
One of my good friends is COO of a Credit Card processing company, and as a result I've always been able to get my people I know great rates. His company is Prolific Business Solutions. They offer super cheap payment processing through POS Terminals, and Online. Basically everything you do now with Credit cards/ACH, they can do for you, and make it cheaper, potentially saving you hundreds or thousands. They can very likely get your Credit Card processing rates much cheaper. In fact, Prolific promises they can, or they will give you $500. So either way, it's a Win-Win situation for you. You save money, or you get some money. :-)
You can integrate Authorize.Net with them, or use their API directly and save even more money.
I love to help Prolific because it's my friend's company, and they help a lot of charities through their profits. So anytime I see someone using Credit Cards, I refer them.
They have a SWIPEAway Poverty campaign, that 10% of Prolific's profits from the merchants transactions go towards a charity that helps children in 3rd world countries. This costs the merchant nothing, and might even save them money, but every time you sell something, or take a donation online, you can tell people that some of the money goes to Compassion International in helping children in 3rd world countries. I don't know if this will be an incentive to people, but it can't hurt can it?
