Howdy Refreshers,

I have a client who wants to allow people to signup for text updates
from him. The example he sent me was one where you text something to a
number to subscribe. I think it would be just as good if people signed
up from his site instead or in addition to.

Anybody have suggestions regarding a text service that has an easy to
implement solution?

Thanks,
Chris

Chris,

I've used air2web [http://www.air2web.com/] & clickatell [http://www.clickatell.com/].

Both were really easy to implement since they have an API you can call from most programming languages.

Good luck!

Luis

Definitely check out http://www.twilio.com

Super simple API, good pricing, and super fast service.

The easiest service I've ever used for stuff like this has been Twilio:

I just won a hackathon last weekend using Twilio as the SMS gateway.

Hey there Chris,

We used a local client with great success during SXSW.  Consider reaching out to Dustin Donham d.do...@hookdmobile.com

All the best,
