POSITION SUMMARY

 

Configures, documents and manages the LAN and WAN infrastructure.  Keeps computer equipment, hardware, and software updated to meet organizational needs.  Manages software licensing to ensure compliancy.  Improves desktop hardware and software processes and supports critical business strategies by managing the development, installation, vendor selection, maintenance and repair of desktop equipment.

 

Experience

A minimum of 3-5 years experience with Windows Server systems, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Office Professional Microsoft IIS and Internet applications, and Microsoft-based desktop and peripheral technology.  Knowledge of PDI/RMS and/or Enterprise application preferred.

• VoIP knowledge, experience preferred
• IP device design, configuration and maintenance
• CD ROM / DVD technology
• Software applications
• Telecommunications, broadband connectivity
• Configuration and installation of desktop peripheral and network technologies
• Emerging technology trends
• Evaluate critical systems, prioritize workflow and determine solutions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Interpret and apply laws, regulations and policies
• Provide technical assistance for computer problems
• Read and understand technical manuals
• Work for extended time at keyboard/terminal
• Maintain effective working relationships with supervisor and coworkers
• Manages response 24x7 to Help Desk Tickets

Certificates & Licenses

·         Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer  (MSCE) preferred

·         Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) preferred

• Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) preferred
• Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) preferred

Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
