to Refresh Austin Jobs
We are in need of a quick turnaround (March 1) on a basic concert
listing website. We would like it to be a WordPress based site that
doesn’t look or feel necessarily like a blog site. You will be
building it from scratch. We already have the hosting and domain name
set up. You will be taking creative direction from our Creative
department. You must live in Austin and can develop off-site in your
office or home.

The first release of the site can be very basic with basic concert
listing info that will be manually entered by our staff. Many concert
listing sites are ad based and are non-intuitive and hard to use.
This site needs to be the opposite. Users should quickly be able to
sort and filter the listings to quickly find concerts of interest to
them in the Austin area. It will involve several venues and many
nationally touring shows. We would also like to see dynamic content.
For example, when you click on a listing, the listing could expand to
include a YouTube player and music player for that artist or other
content related to the artist that might help someone make a decision
to go to that show. Those types of features and content are
negotiable depending on what you can complete in the short time-frame.

We would prefer that you (and your team if you have one) be skilled at
WordPress, PHP, Javascript/Ajax/Jquery, extensive CSS. The money is
budgeted and ready to go if you can start immediately. You must have
a few reference sites that you’ve built with WordPress. And it is a
huge added plus if you are a huge music fan like us. We know you’ll
be crunched for time but we will work to make it as fun as possible
for you.

immediate consideration.
