OK...as it looks like I would have been alone on June 18, lets shoot
for the 20th, after the Christian Ed meeting. Pastor, hopefully you
can make this one...also, i;'m thinking i'm going to borrow the pc
projector...its much more impressive on a larger screen!

Jeff, do you know who is expected for the June 18th film? If there are no others attending, would you be willing to change it to Wed, June 20 after the christian ed meeting (8:00pm)? Perhaps there are those who in attendance at the meeting who would be interested in staying for the film.

I think you'll enjoy the film. There is one 'scene' in particular
that always gives me chills...a closeup of a homeless man with eyes so
totally devoid of life. i know where it is in the film, yet it
sneaks up on me every time. the film is approacing 30 years old, and
some of the images seem outdated, buit the message and the soundtrack

Jeff, what a compelling explanation of the film. I think this is a great idea. One that would allow the group the opportunity to reflect on how we have created this out of synch state of being, and discuss how we might better be able to attain a "life in balance" that is according to God's awesome and majestic plan.

Here's a thought for June 18....one more meeting before a summer
vacation.
I would like to bring in the movie "Koyaanisqatsi". The movie runs
1hr 27 min, leaving us some time to discuss.
Koyaanisqatsi is a documentary (of sorts). It is also a visual concert
of images set to the haunting music of 'Phillip Glass' . While there
