Hi Reddotters

Issue 1) When we try and publish all the pages in the project
structure via FTP,the folder structure in which the pages get pubished
changes. We need to maintain the same folder structure.

Issue 2) The code contains HTML and JSP files, we need to change the
seperate the static and dynamic in a such a way that the JSP's are no
longer going to be avialable in the RedDot CMS. when the same is done,
erroors occur as some of the HTML files get information from the
JSP's.

Kindly advise as to what needs to be done.

hi praise2k6,

regarding your questions,

1) are you saying that an ftp publish is now different to a local
publish? or are you saying that the publication structure changed
after upgrading? Either way if it has changed, what has it changed
from and to?

2) is this related to upgrade or a separate general question about how
to separate the code?

Cheers,

- Morgan

Hi Morgan

Thanks for addressing my concern :)!

1) Will update on this later.

2) The code contains HTML and JSP files in Reddot 6.5 itself, inorder
to improvise the same in Reddot 9, we need to seperate the static and
dynamic files in a such a way that the JSP's are deployed only in
Weblogic and no longer going to be avialable in the RedDot CMS.

For Example: I have a start.jsp file, within which there will be
several images or other html pages that may be called or
referenced. So, if the start.jsp page is deleted from the Reddot CMS
and placed in the Weblogic server alone. In such a scenario, the images
which come from the reddot cms do not appear in the site, as they no
more exist in Reddot CMS.

Currently, to overcome this issue temproraily, we have placed the
start.jsp in the reddot CMS as well as in the weblogic, but this is
could cause duplication of files, which is a concern.

I was thinking, if we could change the extension of the filename from
start.jsp to start.html and leave the page and structural elements
within undisturbed. However, I am not sure if this would be advisable,
for which I would need some suggestions.

Cheers!
