Anyone know what IO_PGE is for in project db?

Subject: Anyone know what IO_PGE is for in project db?
My export keeps failing.  Log shows the export runs smoothly until
IO_PGE.  Then export runs until it dies (overnight usually).

In database, I see that IO_PGE table in my project has 1.5 million
rows and is 421 MB in size.

So whatever it IS, there's a lot OF it!  I'm sure I need to clear "it"
out - any ideas on this one??
