New to NYC, looking for friends

Hi Redditors! I've moved out of my hometown for the first time, and
I've been trying to get a job in NYC for about a month now (staying
with family in Weschester). I've left everyone I know behind, and I
haven't seen anyone my age since I got here. I'm starting to get
lonely. Anyone else interested in a new friend?

I'm 21, female, just graduated from college. Fairly nerdy, but
outgoing, sardonic, love to laugh. Can enjoy doing just about anything
(once, at least). Like to talk about heady topics. I especially miss
having friends I can talk about emotional stuff with right now (don't
get me wrong, I prefer listening to talking).

Anybody want to get together? I've never met anyone IRL from the
internet before, so I'll probably be pretty shy at first..maybe you're
willing to deal with it :) I'll be in Manhattan tomorrow looking for
help wanted signs.

Depends on what you mean by “There”.

If you mean the regular Tuesday meetups, then yes. 8:30 isn’t even late.

totally agree with Richard. I as a 24 M posted a similar post in reddit a few weeks back and not a single fk was given that day.... :P :P

I met my last gf that way... Though it wasn't on a blind date, nor was it individual reply. I have to say that It is confusing when the default reply to is the individual and not the group. I am tempted to turn it back I miss the insane conversations. I have noticed the email list is not as active.
