Hi, i'm trying to install a reddit clone instance on this great hosting platform, [link], but before, and because i have only 256 max memory with my account, i want to send you this message to get your experience/feedback on memory consumption for a reddit clone. Getting Rate Limited
My application is behaving well, not spamming the servers or anything like that, however I'm having RATE_LIMIT problems. If I submit a link, then wait a minute and submit another link, I always get a RATE_LIMIT error and I'm not sure if that behaviour is intended... Here's my workflow: 1) Login if necessary (i.e. if I don't have a hash/cookie stored)... more »

BAD_CAPTCHA when submitting link
Hi there, I'm building an app which will allow a user to submit a link to Reddit using their own credentials. One problem I'm having is, when I issue the following request: api_type=json&uh=<modhash from login request>&kind=link&url=http%3A %2F %2Fec.gc.ca%2F&sr=RQSTest&titl e=Testing... I get the following response:... more »

Semi-automating some of my work
Apologies if I failed to search hard enough for this answer in the docs and mailing list archives. I feel I delved deeply, though I could very well be wrong, and this could be a very easy answer for someone. I started running a monthly (non-software) program in a subreddit (/r/pokemontrades, for those interested). It's completely voluntary,... more »

Would like to build my own button. Questions
I would like to build my own reddit button for my website. The current options don't quite do it for me. I would like to have a button that has the features of the current interactive buttons, but with a few changes. I would like to change the dimensions of the buttons to fit my layout better. And I would prefer not to call out to the google cdn for... more »

API Limit for me.json
I am working on an application which will have on server make multiple calls to the me.json object using a stored reddit_ression (after the user associates with my application). The call is made every 5 minutes right now but the number of users may be anything from 5 to 1,000 on the high end once the public signup is... more »

an issue with info.json and approximate matches
When trying to grab some info about a url's submission ( [link] ), is there a way search for an approximate match? For example, suppose someone submits a youtube link like this: [link] Using the api, searching for any submissions with the following link... more »

Submitting Code to an Open Source Project - Software Engineering Project
Hello Reddit devs, I'm a graduating computer science major, and this quarter I'm taking a software engineering class. The large project for this quarter is to submit two changes to an open source project and have these changes accepted into the main branch of code. I thought Reddit might be somewhere to look for either a bug fix or a... more »

Admin able to attach a single Link to multiple Subreddits?
Hi, I've recently set up the reddit code at [link] as a front- end to Arxiv (the main repository for mathematical preprints etc). Thanks for opening up the code, it's great to have! One issue I have is that one often has papers submitted to multiple categories (like math.NT and math.AG) and I currently have a bot... more »
