Hi,

When creating a new Red5 app in Eclipse, by using the Red5 Application Generator, there are some errors:

- IScope is not imported properly (easy to fix)
- ClientManager error when using IScope (I could not fix)

I haven’t found ClientManager in documentation API.

Am I missing something? Is the code generation functionality in Eclipse broken?

Thank you in advance.
Regards,
Alfredo

Hi Alfredo,

seams like the client generation front end is what's wrong here

What's the exact error?

Hi Pejot,

Yes, you found it, there is the same mistake in this class ClientManager:

import org.red5.server.api.IScope; //this should also be fixed

The problem is that this is generated by default by Eclipse plugin, so when creating a new application with Eclipse, this code contains errors.

Thank you,
Alfredo

Anything dealing with the Eclipse plug-in would be solely in the domain of Dominick. The plug-in source / project should be considered "closed" since the Red5 team does not have access to it. The same also goes for anything listed as "Jedai".

Regards,
Paul

That's a shame, still it's easy to get it going.

As I understand the future will be more about Maven deployments? Is there an easy way to have Maven do the same? Or build an app WAR with Maven and than deploy with ant?

Cheers,
