Trike website?

Hello,

I'm planning on starting a recumbent trike website. However, I'm not
sure exactly what it should contain. I know I'll probably have
articles about trike-touring and review of gear.

Also, I'm disabled, and ride with my walker straped to the back of the
trike. So, I'll probably have some articles about cycling and
disabilities.

I'm unsure about what else it should have. Do you have any ideas?

That's a good question........I would think links to other recumbent trike sites, there are a lot that sell parts for builders , companies that build, stores that sell,

 

I purchased some plans from Atomic zombie to build a rec trike (but time and skill in that area I don't have)

 

I found another good home builder's site ......http://www.fleettrikes.com/

 

I haven't purchased a recumbent trike yet - how do you like yours? - I thought it would be good for me because my road bike seems to put too much of a strain on my back (a problem I didn't have in the past)

 

A users forum would be good (where members could ask questions)

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I'll definitely have trike-related links
on the website. I'll also have some general cycling links.

It sounds like I should have something on trike-homebuilding? Good
suggestion, Paul! Do you know any other people building their own
trikes? Is this common?

A user's forum is also a good idea.

As far as my trike is concerned: I really like my Sun EZ3. Too bad it
took being hit by a pickup truck for me to learn about it! ;)

I've talked with people online who have built them - I haven't, and probably won't - I was looking at the 'action bent' tadpole trikes, they are the most affordable - although where I live isn't the best place to ride, due to auto traffic......so

You may want to subscribe to rails to trails. You should be able to glean some  good info form them. Also fairly level trails that should appeal to your target group. You may want to promote yourself to different manufactureres and write reviews on their equipment. Possibly write a couple articles for ezine.com to help drive traffic to your site. Do you subscribe to atomiczombie.com ?
