Thoughts on Marine Ply for laminating.

Hi.

I am looking for material for a small decretive laminating project. I
have not been able to get thin hard wood any ware ( I'm in the UK). For the
size I would want the laminations about as thick as hardboard say 3 to 4 mm.
Would Marine plywood be any good what do you think? I can get it at 4 mm in
both white and brown.
