Hi;

I have an electric guitar who's body is tung oil finished. I want to
paint it. What do I have to do to apply paint over the oil finish?

Thank you

Hi, Crumb.

You don't have any problems. I'd go over the guitar with white spirit
(mineral spirit) first in case anyone has polished it, let it dry, and
lightly steel-wool (0000 grade) it with the grain to give it a tooth. Get
all traces of dust off with a tack rag (auto body shop) or airline before
painting.

Cheers

Frank
