Are there any industry insiders here who can shed light on this problem? Why do sound volume levels sometimes vary wildly between channels? Is it because the producers of some channels believe that they will get more watchers if they SCREAM at them and others believe that they will do better by (w h i s p e r i n g)?... more »

I'm a DirecTV suscriber with 4 decoders, one of then DirecTV Plus. My system have a Tru-Spec 4-way multiswitch (2 in, 4 out) in order to send the signal to the rooms upstairs. I have my HD DVRs connected to the internet via the ethernet connections, and I've verified that I can download content using DirecTV on Demand.
