Are there any industry insiders here who can shed light on this problem?
Why do sound volume levels sometimes vary wildly between channels?
Is it because the producers of some channels believe that they will get more
watchers if they SCREAM at them and others believe that they will do better
by (w h i s p e r i n g)?

I'm a DirecTV suscriber with 4 decoders, one of then DirecTV Plus.
My system have a Tru-Spec 4-way multiswitch (2 in, 4 out) in order to
send the signal to the rooms upstairs. I want to install a DirecTV HD
decoder in the master bedroom, but I only have one cable running
there, no way to install another cable because is a brick-and-mortar

I have my HD DVRs connected to the internet via the ethernet
connections, and I've verified that I can download content using
DirecTV on Demand. However, what I'd "really" like to do is to
transfer recorded content from one DVR to another via the same local
network that now connects them to the internet. Is that possible?

I have cable internet because it's fast, and was here before DSL, and
DirecTV for TV. The cable internet costs more standalone than it does in a
bundle, but it still the way that I want to go. The SD TV on cable here is
junk.
Where I used to be, satellite was "it", even dialup didn't work at normal

Using my two DirecTV DVRs with Tivo software is what is keeping
me subscribed to DirecTV. I'd rather use a Tivo based DirecTV DVR
than any other DVR.
