Subject: best solution for capturing analog video for media server?
I have stacks of old home movies on VHS tape that I would like to capture to
some sort of file, for playback on the Western Digital media server setup I
just put together.  I have a Sony box that converts analog to DV; I am
looking advice on capture software that will get me to the final file format
with minimal fuss / steps / time.  I am not looking to edit; just capture
and store on the media server HD for playback.

Thanks!
Steve

Movie Maker will allow you to capture render out to DV-AVI format which
should be good for your WD box.
The biggest advantage is that you already have it and it's free :)
