help needed on dvd video problem

hi
i bought the dvd copy master
however i can record the dvd film onto video with sound but it only comes
out black & white iv,e tryed everything
please help any info would be great.

Sounds to me as if the copy master is being fed an NTSC signal which it's
then passing through to your VCR. Are you sure that your VCR can handle
NTSC? Although some VCRs can play NTSC tapes, very few UK VCRs can actually
record it.... What you'll probably have to do is to get your DVD player to
output in PAL mode....

If you are trying to copy a region 1 film on to a pal video recorder
then you also need a standards converter.

OOOOHHHHH sounds like a macrovision problem to me. Newer VCR as well
as DVD players have a copy gard system called macrovision I know how
to turn it off on PC's but on standalone units ????? I have in the
past used signal amplifiers to increase the gain from the output
source to the recording source but this does degrade quality a bit.
