Hopefully I am in the correct NG.

I have just acquired, legally I might add, a DVD recorder. There is no
mention of PDC and the guy on the help desk at Daewoo tells me that the EPG
will automatically take care of any early or late starts when recording a
programme.

Is this correct, I am naturally suspicious?

IF they correct the times before transmission then yeah, I think he is
right. In extreme cases like when they shift stuff from BBC1 to BBC2
in the UK I think it just doesn't record.

Thanks Paul, it looks as though it may be correct. But, as yet, no major
delays.

yeah, that's the problem, you need a delay to find out if it works :O)
