Rail from Prince Rupert to Vancouver

As the BC rail connection from Prince George to Vancouver appears to be no
more, after taking the Skeena (via rail) from prince rupert to prince
george, what rail options are there for getting to Vancouver....if there are
any.

That's correct.

(1) Spend the night in Prince George, then take the Skeena to
Jasper. Then take either VIA Rail's Canadian (overnight) or
the Rocky Mountaineer (2 days with overnight stopover in Kamloops)
from Jasper to Vancouver.

(2) Wait until 2006, when Rocky Mountaineer is supposed to start
services between North Vancouver and Whistler, and between Whistler
and Jasper with a stopover in Prince George. I don't know if you'll
be able to book the Prince George-Whistler segment separately from
a Whistler-Jasper package deal.

Nothing that doesn't take you miles and days out of your way... Your best
bet is twelve-hour bus ride:
