rumor has it that Sandals charges for wireless access?!
I know Couples doesn't and I'm really surprised that Sandals does... or
is this incorrect? inquiring minds want to know.
even at resorts where there is wireless access... it often isn't
everywhere... or even in the rooms.
in the Couples Ocho Rios (now being remodeled into the Couples Tower
Isle) there was wireless in the lobby ONLY... I literally had the first
room off the lobby next to the office and no signal.
it would have been handy.
voip phones for starters... but that may just be WHY they don't have
wireless to the rooms!

Hi,
I'm unfamiliar with Columbus Isle... is it a true AI or a Club Med type
thing?
but to me an ALL INCLUSIVE would include an internet connection and if a
resort advertises wireless it should include the rooms not just the
lobby... and it should be INCLUDED.
Couples has wireless... it's NOT to all the rooms (or even most in my
experience)... but they have good internet lounges and as good an access
as you'll get in Jamaica.
during my trip in March (my wedding at Couples Negril) the internet
lounge is greatly improved over the old single station off the lobby
with multiple decent little workstations in an air conditioned,
centrally located ground floor location.
and WiFi was free where it was available (lobby area near piano bar) but
the lounge was so nice there was no need to pull out the laptop.
I just couldn't imagine that an AI like Sandals would actually CHARGE
for wifi access.

Hi,
for us it's an easy way to keep in contact with the "kids" (20
somethings) and if in europe to avoid the time issues...
it's not like we spend out time web surfing...
Hi,
wireless would be SO easy for them to install.
When in Europe I generally stay in like ** (not real fancy, some rooms
in a ** hotel will not have a toilet/shower in the room) places and
everyplace has wireless now... and/or public internet terminals.
Couples seems to be accommodating it's guests the best. Good internet
lounges, at least limited wifi, and it's included.
Many if most of the others seem to be charging at present it seems, and
in some classes charges for internet-pc access...
to me that's basic communications these days and it should be included
in any First Class ALL Inclusive Resort.
