....and cheap....

Where would you go if you could go anywhere? Cheap or not. Tell me
about your paradise.

I'm just looking for ideas for my next holiday.  I'm going away for a
really short holiday to Mexico this year, but next year my boyfriend
and I want to take a longer outside-of-North-America holiday next
summer (about 2 months).

TO ALL "WORLD TRAVELERS", Check-out the Philippines for 2 months-fly from
London for 450 quid RT, from Frankfurt 1200DM or from LAX/SFO /California
for $580-$670RT. Great adventures on a "shoestring" budget; one Dutch guy
that stayed with us in Manila stayed with a family in Pagupud Beach, Ilocos
Norte for $60/month;rent native houses in beautiful beach areas like Boracay
and Puerto Galera for $75 - $150/month 8 months a year(April20-Dec10-off
season). Local rum, whiskey,& brandy 75cents-$1.50/liter,cigarettes 25cents
to 60cents/pack + other recreational activities at prices from the 1960s
,Travel by bus at 70cents/hour and rent taxis in the city for $4/hour, You
can enjoy yourself and have the adventure of a life time for $10-$20/day the
LONGER YOU STAY THE CHEAPER  IT AVERAGES OUT-SURF on warm tropical waves in
Surigao BEFORE everyone else finds out about the place. If you need travel
INFO. and a safe, clean place to stay near the airports when you arrive in
Manila, TRY The Townhouse-Manila which is 2.5 kilometers (1.5miles) from
both the
domestic and international airports at Villa Carolina Townhouse # 31 TAMBO,
Paranaque,Metro-Manila Tel.632-833-1939 Fax 632-804-0161.After you finish
with immigration and customs you'll pass thru sliding doors, look for
several taxi/transportation booths BEFORE going outside.Buy a coupon P85($2)
to get to our place. If you need a guide book, Lonely Planet's" Philippines
A Travel Survival Kit   is good(we're listed) and might be a big help. We
have alot of older guide books which you're welcome to use as well as maps
and important travel tips. The Townhouse is the only place in Manila that
provides a blend of a backpacker's travel information center  in safe, clean
tourist style comfort. Rates start at $3 for dorm beds,$8 room with share
bath,$14 rooms with private bath. I usually ask guests about their energy
level and how much time they have before guiding them; a week in the
mountain province, 1 night Baguio, 3 nights Sagada, 3 nights Banawe / Batad,
and 5-10 days on each of six beach destinations, Puerto
Galera( closest ),Boracay (most beautiful ), Panglau,Bohol (chocolate
hills ), Moalboal (diving), Surigao,Mindinao(surfing), palawan( has
several).
 Happy Travels

I'd go to EL Nido, Palawan in the Philippines. Really nice place, and lots of cheap hotels in there. Plus, they have wonderful seafood dishes.

I love seafoods!

Visit this site http://www.palawanresortshotels.com/. There's a lot of cheap package tours in there that you might like :D
