Hellish Louvre Painting - Need help finding out artist info

man's face is so vivid it gives me the chills. Does anyone know the
name of it or can point me to a web site that shows it? I have searched
to no avail. If I'm correct, it's located on the same floor as
Jacques-Louis David's The Crowning of Napoleon.

Have you ever seen Rodin's statue "The Kiss"? That represents the
famous lovers. He was her brother-in-law. One day they were reading
together a romance, maybe the romance of Tristan and Iseult (I can't
remember) and suddenly they were overcome with passion. One thing led
to another until they were caught by her husband, Paolo's brother, and
killed.
There is a castle in Gradara, on a hilltop near Cattolica, where they
were supposedly killed. The castle is very large and can be seen from
the autostrada. However, it has been mostly reconstructed with very
little attention to historical realities.
