Does anyone have any good recommendations for low to middle end hotels in
Dublin or Howth? I am not having much success searching on hotel in Howth
and the results I do get have close to no information about accomodation.

thanks,

H.

As far as I know all the hotels in Howth are now shut.

The closest to it would be the Marine Hotel in Sutton.

Let me correct that.

I was up in Howth this morning, and the Baily Court Hotel is still open, but
the St. Lawrence, the Howth Lodge and Sutton Castle are all closed.

Location-wise the Baily Court would be nearest to the harbour etc, while the
Marine is located in Sutton, a few kms down the road.

There are a number of good B&Bs in the area too.

We stayed at the Deer Park hotel in Howth in June. It might be a little more
than what you were looking for. The view was beautiful; the accomodations were
a little worn.

We stayed at the Burlington last March. The rooms are large and beds
comfortable, but breakfast is terrible, after the first one, we ate out,
although it was included in room rate. The staff is very pleasant and
helpful, we would definitely go back: it is located in a very quiet area,
just a few steps from the restaurant/pub/nightclub area, and 10 walking
minutes from the business center, shopping and Trinity College. Danielle
