During peak times, Amsterdam's tribute to van Gogh is virtually bursting at
the seams with visitors. Do not be detained by this fact for the exhibition
is truly worth your while. Some of van Gogh's greatest works of art are
constantly exhibited among the vastly different works of his contemporaries.
A very interesting special presentation deals with the transitoriness of
paintings by explaining how van Gogh's red paint started to fade immediately
after the final touches because it was made from organic instead of mineral
pigment.
To avoid the main rush, it is a usually a good idea to visit the museum
right after opening in the morning. The great herds usually arrive around
noon.
Sadly, some very popular prints of van Gogh's paintings are sometimes sold
out at the museum shop. Should this happen to you, do not yet despair. A
considerable number of the prints are found in equally acceptable quality at
souvenir stalls all over the town.

Funny thing, he doesn't mention that most of the Rijksmuseum is closed
for renovation.
Whoever is spamming that shit, I wish a nasty pox on them.
