If they are open theough, by all means go. I've been there the first week of April,
when things are just blooming, and I've been there at the end of October when
everything is dying off, and it's still spectacular. The best time to go, I think,
is June, when the roses are at their best, but I don't think you'll be disappointed
by what you see.
While in Giverny, allow some time for the Museum of American Impressionism.
As for Monet's house, I'd skip it even if it is open. Unless you love Japanese
prints. Which I don't. To me, it's the gardens to go there for, not the house.

I visited Giverny in May two years ago on my way from Paris to Normandy. Giverny turned out to be the highlight of my trip. The ga=
rdens are beautiful and well worth the excursion *at that time of year*. Don't know about March, however, sorry.
