Can anyone give me some information about The Church of the Saviour on the Blood in St. Petersburg? I'm aware that originally only memorial services were held there for Alexander II, and that it served briefly as the city's cathedral church after the Bolsheviks closed St. Isaacs, and that it was closed by the Soviets in 1930. What has been the status and use of The Church of the Saviour on the Blood since 1930 to the present? -- Harlan -- Soft adventure tours, the way to go, at http://www.softadventure.net Tanzania Millennium Safari, http://www.softadventure.net/tanzania2000.htm Bike and Boat Holland, http://www.softadventure.net/bikeholland.htm Nepal, http://www.softadventure.net/nepal.htm
