The Cruise People Ltd announces new Round-the World web page

The Cruise People Ltd of London, England, is pleased to announce that its new
Round-the-World and Extended Voyages page has now been launched on the
Internet at:

http://members.aol.com/CruiseAZ/world.htm

This page outlines the routes of twenty-two (22) passenger-carrying cargo
ships operating in four major Round-the-World services, plus another
sixty-eight (68) ships offering a dozen other long-duration voyages of
between 56 and 110 days, plus a "bonus" listing for Trans-Pacific service
between California, New Zealand and Australia, a 42-day round voyage. All
told, some 96 ships are indexed on these services, accounting for about a
quarter of the world's passenger-carrying capacity on cargo ships.

New to Round-the-World service this year will be Rickmers "Pearl String"
eastabout Round-the-World service via the Far East and USA - with nine new
ships being delivered between now and 2004. Other voyages are available from
CMA CGM The French Line of Marseilles, with six new ships in 2001, and NSB
Freighter Cruises of Bremen, with seven new ships, plus Egon Oldendorff of
Lubeck, with its Indotrans and New Zealand to Asia services, F Laeisz of
Hamburg, with its famous "P" ships, and PZM Polish Steamship Company, with
Great Lakes round voyages, plus other well-known names such as the Bank Line.

Any of these voyages can also be booked as part voyages, one-way journeys or
round trips with layover between ships.

Earlier this month The Cruise People also introduced a North Atlantic
Consolidated Sailing Schedule, listing year-round Trans-Atlantic sailings by
Cunard Line, Canada Maritime and the ships on the Independent Container Line
route. These number 105 westbound sailings and 104 eastbound sailings for
2002 by these three lines and can be found at:

Passenger travel by cargo ship has seen a remarkable resurgence in recent
years, with some services now offered weekly. As a measure of this
resurgence, some twenty-two (22) of the ships listed were introduced into
service during 2001 or after.

Fares are available upon application, but generally run to about EUR 75
(about £48 or US$70) to EUR 90 (about £58 or US$84) per person per day,
depending on type of cabin and route, plus dues and taxes.

The Cruise People Ltd of London is a member of the Leading Cruise Agents of
the UK, the Passenger Shipping Association (Retail Agents) and the American
Society of Travel Agents. It opened in 1992 and is now marking ten years in
business, while its Canadian affiliate, founded in 1972, is celebrating
thirty years of service to the travelling public.
