Here's a link to a pic of RCI's Voyager promenade's street.

Now, a question comes to mind. Isn't there a possible of lots of noise from
the windows with the promenade view?

YIKES! What is this? I thought it looked OK until I got to the public rooms.
Staterooms are pastel, maybe smaller? Furniture and patterns in suites look a
bit strange but the public rooms. The Royal Promenade. Looks like Carnival now.
What's with the cameras? Do I see a small statue of liberty in one of the pics?
A big clown's face?

Islands Grill seems a newish look for the line but not so different than some of
the patterns I saw on the Nordic. What's with the colors and patterns? Bordering
on Carnivalesque. OK, Typical Schooner bar. Windjammer, screaming pink chairs?
Carpeting. Huh? Looks like Grandma's decor. Cape Promenade, again looks
Carnivalesque or maybe we are at an amusement park. Dining Room - an opera
house, are those velvet or velour seats? Looks promising, fairly loud carpet
colour, maybe OK. Casino: are those tacky seats or what? reflective ceiling
looks awfully low, this is really glitzy. Look at the clashing carpet, a small
view on it is in the right corner. Champagne bar - nothing new or different
here, pretty typical, but attractive in the RCI sense. Cleopatras Needle, well
at least it has daring carpet, interesting choice of colors, kinda like the
Splendour of the Seas library furniture's colors. Conference center - hopefully
that ladder on its side is not a decorative touch. Connoisseur club, chintzy
club. Pig Whistle - proof that the Voyager of the Seas is an urban ship, hey
there's even promenade bridges. This is very mall like and this is a different
type of ship, this is a small city in the real sense of the busy nature of a
city. Schooner Bar, very typical of RCI, slightly modified, do those canvas
masts and portholes amount to nautical cues? The style of it seems like a boat
styled room in a building as opposed to a ship's room, but that's consistent
with this particular ship.
19th Hole, OK golf ball seats, RCI is turning into Carnival right in front of
our eyes. This room has style and creativity but it is hokey.

These pictures sure give an impression that the ship's style is to take RCI
further into the floating resort/mall area it wants to go in but I'm frankly
surprised at all of the glitz, funny colors and patterns and aspects I associate
with Carnival that's on this ship that these pictures reveal. I'm not so sure
this ship is going to get the glowing reviews that RCI is hoping for and I think
that perhaps RCI keeps the Vantage class in a more evolution of the Vision class
mode.

Really waiting to hear some reviews from the rtc folks including RCI fans
because this ship takes certain aspects of the Vision class to extremes.

Ben,
Thanks for the review.Maybe all the Carnival bashers will read your review
and stay off the floating city making the prices come down faster and allow
me to cruise on her faster than I thought I would.

This ship does truly resemble in decor and amentities/facilities/activities a
Caribbean resort. In fact, from the look of it, she betters any caribbean
resort.

I personally found ther decor to be interesting, certainly not my cup of tea,
but it is definitley inspiring and is perfect for her.

Bright Caribbean colors, bold fabrics, lots of glitz, glitter and glamour. This
is Las Vegas at sea folks, not some five star, sedate luxury liner.

Given the design brief and everything that RCI set out to accomplish with this
ship, I'd say they have succeded admirably.

But I'll let you know more when I return on Sunday apres her VIP/Christening
cruise.
