NEW ORLEANS, LA
An array of fantasy "Hawaiian Aisles" wedding,
marriage vow renewal and romance celebration packages are now
available in conjunction with all vacations aboard United States
Lines' ms Patriot, which launches Dec. 9, 2000, as the largest and
most contemporary cruise ship sailing among the Hawaiian Islands
year-round.

Maria Isabel Molina, vice president of marketing for the parent
company, American Classic Voyages Co., says, "Our expert wedding
consultants can handle all the details of a fairytale wedding or
honeymoon in the Hawaiian Islands, the world's most romantic vacation
destination."

During the 7-night cruises, couples can tie the knot aboard the
1,212-passenger ship while docked at Oahu, Kauai, Maui or the Big
Island of Hawaii, or on shore on any of these islands. The two
shipboard wedding options -- the Orchid Package ($950*) and the
Plumeria Package ($1,350*) -- include professional wedding
coordination to plan the ceremony and help obtain a marriage license,
a wedding officiant and a witness to sign the license; an authentic
Hawaiian floral wedding lei for the bride, maile lei for the groom,
photography services and an 8x10 color photo, Hawaiian Aisles photo
album, commemorative wedding certificate matted for framing, a bottle
of sparkling wine, tropical wed-ding cake (serves 10) with fresh
flowers, and an invitation to participate in an onboard "Madame Pele's
Night of Fire and Romance" ceremony as the ship passes the active lava
flows of Kilauea volcano on the Big Island of Hawaii. The Orchid
Package features recorded Hawaiian music during the ceremony, while
the Plumeria Package includes authentic live Hawaiian music and adds
chauffeured limousine service to the ms Patriot, a bridal bouquet, a
romantic dinner for two delivered to the couple's stateroom and a
picnic basket available in-room upon request.

The Oahu Island Package, Kauai Island Package, Maui Island Package and
Hawaii Island Package ($1,450*) feature idyllic wedding locations such
as the rim of a fiery volcano, the base of a shimmering waterfall, or
a high mountain peak overlooking the Pacific Ocean. All include
professional wedding coordination before the cruise and on the wedding
day, marriage license assistance, a wedding officiant and a witness,
transportation to and from the ceremony, a wedding lei and maile lei,
recorded Hawaiian music, 8x10 photo, photo album, commemorative
wedding certificate, sparkling wine, small wedding cake with fresh
flowers and an invitation to the Madame Pele ceremony.

During Madame Pele's Night of Fire and Romance, married couples can
join the ms Patriot's captain and other couples on deck for a group
vow renewal, including Hawaiian wedding leis, a champagne toast, a
wedding album with a keepsake vow renewal certificate, and a special
gift to commemorate the event. The price of $45* includes a Mimosa
Breakfast the next morning. Spouses may opt in-stead for the Hibiscus
Vow Renewal Package ($400*), including a private ceremony aboard the
ship while docked in Honolulu, Kauai or Maui. Featured are the
services of a professional coordinator before the cruise and the day
of the wedding, an officiant, flower lei and maile lei, recorded
Hawaiian music, 8x10 photo, photo album, wedding certificate,
sparkling wine and a tropical wedding cake for two.

For "romance anytime," United States Lines offers three celebration
packages available to all
ms Patriot passengers. The Aloha Package ($99*) includes Aloha Island
snacks, a Hawaiian pineapple filled with assorted cheeses and tropical
fruit, sweets delivered to the couple's stateroom one evening, an
etched farewell bottle of red wine, and a "Memories of Paradise" album
for preserving the experience. The Romance Package ($199*) includes a
bottle of champagne, a fresh tropical Hawaiian floral arrangement, a
Hawaiian pineapple with cheeses and fruit, two bathrobes embroidered
with the United States Line logo, chocolate-covered strawberries
delivered to the stateroom one evening, an etched farewell bottle of
red wine, and a memories album. The Ultimate Luxury Package ($499*)
includes everything in the Romance Package, and adds Aloha Island
snacks, two body massages, an hors 'd oeuvres platter delivered to the
stateroom on two evenings, an 8x10 photo in a keepsake frame, and
sweets each night of the cruise.

Numerous "a la carte" options available at additional charge can make
the wedding, vow renewal and romance packages even more special.
Choices include entertainment by conch shell blowers, hula dancers,
ukulele players and Tahitian drummers; transportation by horse and
carriage or "stretch" limo; customized floral designs; personalized
spa and beauty services; tuxedo rentals; videography; wedding
invitations, announcements and favors; and receptions ranging from an
intimate affair for two to a gala luau featuring Pacific Rim and
premium American cuisine.

United States Lines recommends that couples book their cruise several
months in advance to
ensure availability of the onboard accommodations of choice (such as
king bedding). Wedding, vow renewal and romance celebration packages
can be selected once the cruise has been booked, and must be paid in
full at the time they are reserved. Couples are encouraged to arrive
two days prior to their cruise departure date and to obtain their
marriage license in Honolulu regardless of their wedding location; the
cost is $50 (paid to the Marriage License Bureau of Hawaii).
Pre-cruise hotel packages are available through United States Lines.

The ms Patriot will depart every Saturday night from Honolulu, Oahu,
and cruise to Nawiliwili, Kauai; Kahului, Maui; Hilo, Hawaii; and
Kona, Hawaii; before returning to Honolulu the following Saturday.
Passengers can choose from among 80 optional island experiences, all
conveniently arranged by the onboard staff.

United States Lines has introduced "Eagle Fares," a
capacity-controlled, cruise-only pricing
program that offers discounts of up to 40% off published 7-night
Hawaii cruise vacation fares.
Eagle Fares are being offered during the inaugural season of the ms
Patriot, on departures from Jan. 20 through Dec. 29, 2001. Eagle Fares
start as low as $809** for interior accommodations, while ocean-view
staterooms start at $1,109**. These fares are per person based on
double occupancy of the selected stateroom. Fares include all onboard
entertainment and meals.

United States Lines offers attractively priced air/sea add-ons from
select gateway cities through-out North America, which include
round-trip air transportation to Hawaii, and baggage and ground
transfers to and from the ship in Honolulu. Inquire about any reduced
air rates that may be available.
