Thanks so much for all the responses on my Disney Cruise questions, I
appreciate it! I'm so excited now!! This group sure seems to love
cruises. Anyway, thanks a lot for all your info. Oh, I forgot to ask one
thing (if I may) is the water at the Bahamas as beautiful as the
pictures on tv? I see pictures of beautiful clear, see to the bottom,
water. Can it be true? Is there realy water like I see on tv?

The best water I've seen is in the US and British Virgin Islands. It's
the most surreal color of pale lime green. Totally crystal clear. Take
the ferry from St. Thomas to St. John and you won't believe the water
color.
Water in the Bahamas can be nearly as good, in quiet areas. Where there
is large surf, it typically will be cloudy, since the bottom is being
churned up. And it will be even worse if the bottom is sand. If the
bottom is mostly coral and rocks, there isn't as much silt to cloud up
the water. In quiet areas, the water will be gorgeous.
Cayman also has great water. We snorkeled in water that was 35-50 ft.
deep, and could clearly see the bottom (we saw a large conch shell).
I have a dig photo of Trunk Bay in St. John. Let me know if you'd like
a copy.
