Ocean Liner Society Appoints The Cruise People 12 Aug 09

The London-based Ocean Liner Society has appointed The Cruise People
Ltd as its agent for the society's group cruises. These include a back-
to-back Greek island cruise on two classic cruise ships with Louis
Cruise Lines from Piraeus this September and a Mediterranean cruise on
board the all-inclusive French cruise liner Bleu de France from
Marseilles in June 2010.

Space is still available on the seven-night Louis back-to-back cruise,
which leaves Piraeus on Friday, 11 September. Arrangements include
three nights on the Aquamarine, built as the Nordic Prince for Royal
Caribbean Cruise Lines, and four nights on the Aegean Pearl,
originally the Southward with Norwegian Caribbean Line. Both entered
service in 1971 as part of the first generation of cruise ships that
replace the converted ocean liners that had been used up till then.

The Aquamarine and the Aegean Pearl are both registered in Greece and
will visit Mykonos, Rhodes, Patmos and Kusadasi, while the Aegean
Pearl will also call at Heraklion and Santorini. Cruise-only fares
begin at £354 per person in an inside cabin and £499 per person in an
outside for the full seven days and the single supplement is 50%.

The 2010 OLS cruise is planned with Croisières de France on board its
Bleu de France, leaving Marseilles on Sunday 20 June for seven days to
Olbia, Palermo, Malta, Tunisia and an overnight call in Ibiza.
Croisières de France is the French-language brand of Royal Caribbean
and is operated by Pullmantur. The Bleu de France was built in 1981 as
Hapag-Lloyd Cruises' Europa, and operates as an all-inclusive ship,
with drinks in the restaurants and bars, port charges and gratuities
all included in the fare.

Members of the general public can qualify to travel on these cruises
simply by joining the Ocean Liner Society. Membership is £20 in the
UK, £23 in Europe and £25 in the rest of the world. As well as the
opportunity of joining OLS group cruises, this includes a subscription
to their quarterly journal, Sea Lines. Further details can be found at
www.ocean-liner-society.com.
