Can someone tell me which online fare service offers the most
competitive pricing to Europe from cities such as Atlanta, Charlotte
and Washington?

It's all in the timing. There are sales all the time from Washington, not
as many from Atlanta, but they usually only last a day or two to get
tickets. It also depends on when you want to go. I would start with the
dream maps over at Travelocity (click on flights, then dream maps), and see
what that comes up with first.

Also, sign up for the weekly specials from the airlines that fly out of
those airports, that is usually done at the airline's websites, then every
Wednesday you willg et the specials for the next two weekends.

Well Atlanta is good ifd you want to fly Delta.

Washington is good for many many choices.. Air France, British Airways
or the other national airlines all go into Dulles or BWI.

Charlotte is prob good for any US air flight, as that is their hub...
(thanks to Roanoke,Va turning them down in the early 80s (the
Piedmont) for a hub.. they wanted the City to build a new airport.
but that caused millions on loss revenue.

Charlotte, NC and Washington (D.C.?) have many good fares on US Air.

The bottom line is that there probably isn't any single source to
look for "Best Online Fares from US East Coast to Europe".
Travelzoo Weekly Top 20 seems to fit the bill fairly well, from
all over the US. As in all Online Fare deals, you have to be VERY
CAREFUL about reading the fineprints, and whether the fare is
one-way or rdtrip, whether it includes taxes and/or fees, etc.

Better yet, sign up for the Last-Minute Airfare Specials mailing at
http://www.smarterliving.com/bin/join.cgi - that way you just get one email
message, with all the airlines' specials sorted and consolidated.

Yeah right. This is what it says about its Privacy Policy.
What is a policy worth if it is something which can be
changed at any time with or without notice?

Well, the worst-case scenario is that they disclose the fact that some
anonymous throwaway email account with bogus demographic info belongs to
someone interested in air travel. Seems like a risk one could live with.
