the brand new official LEGO www server has started today (not by me :-)
and it gives an end to the recent dispute whether the bricks are designed
in Inches or in Millimeters.
check http://www.lego.com/
it's really cute,
and then check the Press page
http://www.lego.com/press/press_1.html
where you find:
... inspired by two plastic building bricks ... Kiddicraft, ...
With the cooperation of a tooling works in Copenhagen, the
design of the brick was modified and moulds were made. The
modifications in relation to the Kiddicraft bricks included
altering round corners to make them sharp and changing inches
===> to cm and mm, which altered the size of the brick by approx. 0.1
mm from the Kiddicraft brick.
The measures in my FAQ my be right or wrong, but they have to be done in Millmeter.
Have fun
Tom
The LEGO history year by year is very interesting.
Shame there is no specific product information, though.

Pretty skimpy on the Space info.
I like it a lot overall though. I think the site has a lot of
potential. Needs to be more customer focused but that will come
in time. They're off to a great start!

Ditto that. That did have a place to tell them what you wanted to see on
their page. I hope everyone filled it out. It was a tiny little
field though.
Did you notice what they called Blacktron? Scroll through the
history to 1988, where they make mention of the Forestmen and
Blacktron lines.

T'wasn't called "Blacktron" everywhere until the second wave came out. It
was called "Black Space" here (Austria), for example.

I remember "BlackTron" from the first wave in the US.
