You've got it wrong. A kid choked on the yellow bus mold, so they had to
recall it & make the silver bus mold.

Are all the yellow SA buses ones Mattel didn't put out because ofTheir is no mold for paint. the mold is the metal casting, it has nothing to do with the paint. It is very simple why mattel shange the color. The previous bus was yellow. As you can plainly see in #4 Mixed signal series. These two bus are so similar that it is easy to confuse it for the other. The first time I saw the new bus I thought I had gotten Mixed signal bus. It was bad business. By changing the color, the buses could be distinguished easily.
complaints from parents of teens about the bad messages these cars send?
Was Mattel just trying to save a few bucks by making this variation(imagine
that!)? It seems to me they didn't want to get sued for releasing the
buses, but they didn't want to waste the $250 they has in all the buses, so
they just repainted them. I think the reason they switched to unpainted is
not only because they ran out of MS buses, but they wanted to save the few
$ paint costs. Would like opinions on this from the group. Happy Huntin'!

Jeff thanks
I appreciate the correct info !
Sorry folks , I was mis informed about the paint molds.
What? Mattel had to change the color to silver because the yellow was getting
moldy? I have never heard of such a thing.

A bit of advice. Stay away from the 'street' cheese. Get only high-quality
Wisconsin cheese from a reputable cheese store.
